Scoop & Serve—
Yeppp, I'm still catching up, but I finished week two of content marketing! This week’s focus was all about landing pages! I kicked off the week by diving into several articles that detailed the ins and outs of landing pages. In a nutshell, landing pages are single web pages designed to prompt specific actions from visitors, typically to encourage conversions or gather data.
Once I grasped the basics of creating a landing page, I jumped into designing a mockup for Ice Cream Station using Procreate on my iPad. The concept for my landing page developed quickly—I envisioned incorporating the brand's vibrant colors (yellow!!) and showcasing an array of yummy ice cream photos. In my mockup, I emphasized the value proposition of my landing page: ice cream delivery services for customers. Additionally, I included a section featuring social proof and integrated clear call-to-action buttons for a seamless experience.
Following that, I translated my mockup idea and brought it to life on Canva! Although it was a bit time-consuming, it significantly helped the design of my landing page come together easily!!
After designing two mockups, I headed to Carrd.co to build my landing page! Surprisingly, the process was smoother than I thought. The platform’s user-friendly tools allowed me to personalize it with fonts and images pretty effortlessly. The end result matched my expectations, and I'm happy with how it turned out!! Curious to see my landing page? Take a look here!
This whole experience offered me a peek into the world of a content marketer. The universe of content marketing captivates me as it allows me to tap into my creative side and let my ideas flow freely (:
Lens on Life—
This week wasn’t particularly eventful, but I still love writing and capturing those little moments that did happen (:
Again, South Carolina threw us another nice day to enjoy. And you know me, I can’t pass up the opportunity to spend some time outside! Last (last…) Tuesday, my dad finished installing a new deck, sparking the idea of moving my Zoom meeting outside. However, the deck had just been completed, so no furniture had been arranged yet. Knowing I wouldn’t be comfortable sitting on hardwood for over an hour, I improvised and crafted what I like to call my “makeshift desk!” The solution was very simple—I borrowed a chair from another room and snagged one from the breakfast table and bamp! My outdoor desk was all set. It did the job during the hour and fifteen minutes we spent on the call.

Thursday night rolled around, and my parents headed out for a date at the “Alabama” concert, leaving my almost-adult younger brother under my care (although he hardly needed any lol). We decided to grab dinner, and Culver’s won the vote! I thought it’d be nice to turn it into a sibling outing, so I invited my older sister to join us—something we hadn’t done in ages. It turned out to be a night that imprinted sweet memories for each of us. We laughed at my sister’s stories, celebrated my brother’s progress on his senior project, and sang along to the old Christian tunes playing at Culver’s.

After our meal, we made a spontaneous, late trip to Target. I grabbed a few essentials, while my sister scoured for new Christmas decorations for her apartment. As we wandered through the store, we stumbled upon the Christmas aisle—a festive wonderland filled with ornaments and quirky headwear. The idea struck us all to throw on some fun headgear (or just hold an ornament) and snap a few pictures!

What’s Playing on My Playlist—
The song of the week is “Hero” by Newsboys, a powerful song about our hero, Jesus! I adore its rhythm and the meaningful message it delivers. I've practically had it on repeat while driving, doing household chores, and even attempting to "dance" (I might not have the moves, but I still groove along when the music's good, haha!).
Take a listen! ⬇️
The Week Ahead—
Looking ahead to next week, it’s obvious I’ll playing catch-up😆
On a more serious note, my plan for the upcoming week is to finish "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and dive into our new book, “The Personal MBA!” I’m also aiming to wrap up both weeks three and four of content marketing before our next professional development module kicks in. THANKFULLY, I've got Thanksgiving Day off work—a chance to spend quality time with Praxis and, of courseeee, my family.
I’m especially excited for this Thanksgiving because we’re having extended family over! It's usually just us five, including my grandma, but this time, my aunt, uncle, and cousin from Michigan are joining, and there's a possibility my distant cousin from an hour away might make it too!!
I hope y’all have a happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
